In the first post, we started discussing the reason behind my move from my old office. We also discussed in the video regarding it what was going to take place over the next few blogs and videos as we continue our series on “New Beginnings”

In todays blog, let’s discuss the steps needed to make your move as smooth as possible. Now in the first discussion I said that this works whether you move across the street, the city, the state or even the country.

Well my move wasn’t across the country but to me it felt like a Transatlantic flight from the US to Australia, only because there is so much for me to do in regards to relocating.

Let’s take a few moments and discuss the steps I took to beginning my relocation process; first off I surveyed the situation in my current office and I made a mental list of pros and cons that helped me to solidify the need to move, I found out quickly that the list of cons outweighed the list of pros so therefore my decision was made, my move was imminent, now it was time to start packing up what I needed for the first trip.

Once I surveyed the set-up of my new office I decided right away I would bring in my laptop, mobile charger and my phone set-up so I can take business calls and do paperwork without having to reset my systems.

Once I situated my computer set-up I felt I was ready to go; but wait, I’m also a content creator and I really needed to make videos and there is a giant window behind me with a view that makes the sun seem as if it is sitting in my backyard cooking bacon, so therefore I had to adapt and modify right off the bat, I purchased a black shade to cover the windw and give myself some much needed privacy.

As of writing this blog, I am waiting for a new set-up to house my printer and I am waiting for a wall mounted logo to arrive so I can be the professional I need to be even though I relocated 50 feet from my old office.

In part 3, our closing article, I hope to give you a virtual tour of my new office, show you the updates and then get your opinion on what to do next. But that will be next time, untik then thanks for reading, see you soon.
